CPCS Renewal Test
You must pass the CPCS renewal test if you are an operator who currently holds a CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card that is up for renewal. The Blue Card holders who haven’t taken the CPCS renewal test since October 1, 2013, must show up.
When & Where Can One Take The CPCS Renewal Test?
Before the Blue Competent Operator Card expires, the test must be taken in any case. For each category to be added on your CPCS card, the module for that category must be passed. The test may be taken at locations accepting the HS&E exam, including Pearson VUE test centres. This merely means that you can schedule and administer the HS&E test in addition to the CPCS renewal test.

What you should keep in mind for on the test day?
There are a few important points that you have to keep in mind on the day of the exam. Failure of following any of it may lead to disqualification from the test. Here are the following points:
- Reach your exam centre at least fifteen minutes before the commencement of your test
- Don’t forget to bring along the confirmation letter/email
- Bring a suitable ID which clearly shows your photo and signature
The staff members that are on duty will make sure you have all the required paperwork. You won’t be able to take the test if any of your documents are discovered to be false or fraudulent. Your payment will not be returned either.
The CPCS renewal exam is computer-based, and you must select the correct response using a mouse or your finger on the screen.
First-time users need not fear because they will be given access to an on-screen training that will walk them through how things will proceed. You can also be practical by experimenting with the computer and buttons.
There will be in total 15 plant-specific nodules and each module will consist of 15 questions. You will be given fifteen minutes to answer fifteen questions of each module.
What to know after the CPCS test?
You will be given the option to submit a feedback form once you leave the testing centre once you have successfully passed the CPCS test. You won’t need to wait for the results because the score report will be generated automatically after the test is over and will indicate whether you passed the module or not.
