Managers and technicians can obtain the five-year construction Black Manager card (formerly called the Platinum card). It represents the Construction Skills Certification Scheme’s managerial level, and unlike some other cards, it is renewable. Only those who have successfully passed the required Construction Management-related NVQ/SVQ Levels 4, 5, 6 or 7 may apply for the Black Manager card. Candidates must apply for the White Academically Qualified Persons (AQP) construction card if they have completed academic requirements relating to construction. Only those with completed HNDs, HNCs, CIOB certifications, NEBOSH diplomas, and specific construction degrees are eligible for the AQP card.
In conclusion, practical skills-based qualifications like NVQs and SVQs are preferred above knowledge-based ones like academic degrees. How to apply for Black construction Card?
All applicants for the Black Manager card, like those for all other construction cards, must have recently passed the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety, and Environment test. The test’s objective is to evaluate the participant’s knowledge in a variety of subjects in order to increase workplace efficiency and safety. A score of 46 or higher is required to pass the 50 touch-screen questions, 45-minute test. There are five main knowledge domains looked at:
